You can check if it's the MS Blaster by clicking Start|Run and typing MSCONFIG. (Assuming you have XP) Go to the startup tab and look at the programs in there - the virus sets itself to startup here. It'd be called something like blaster.exe
Well the first thing I would try is turning up your virtual memory if you think that might be a problem, probably not but hey its a quick and easy idea. If that's not it then I'd try to install the scanner using generic drivers because they'd be less likely to have conflicts.
If NOTHING else...
Hmm - maybe a corrupted file? I'd do a repair install of windows, or reinstall over top of the current one. This would most likely fix any corrupted file.
Well, I hate to say this, but if its a laptop I'd think the most likely cause would be a loose wire somewhere inside..(probably around the hinge) If it were a Desktop computer I would check the monitor and video card drivers, but I don't think that would be a problem here.

You can usually change your virtual memory setting without any problems, as long as you dont make too LITTLE memory. (You'll get errors that windows doesnt have enough virtual memory and it'll terminate your apps...)
However, if you have your virtual memory set at an extremely LARGE size, (mine...
Is it possible to have multiple users on one XP computer who each can see their own directory but not that of the other users? I can easily see how to do this for network access, but I just cant seem to get it to work for local users. Any help would be appreciated!

Hmm, no there arn't any jumpers or anything to switch (I already checked!) but I decided not to worry about it too much. Besides the one error, the system runs a lot better than it used too and thats all I care about.
Thanks!

Well, its auto-detecting, and I dont know if the motherboard supports 350mhz. If it doesnt support more than 333mhz can I still tweak it to run at 333? The system is running extremely smoothly and plenty fast even though it reports its running at only 240mhz in the bios.
Oh and the bios doesnt...
Hey, I removed a PII266 cpu from an old computer of mine and replaced it with a PII350 chip.
The computer seems to function fine except for two problems:
1 - The bios shows that the chip is running at 240mhz
2 - It brings up an L2 chache error on boot, although I can skip this and continue...
You mean multiple mice AND cursors, right?
Not a multiple mice fighting over the same cursor? Because thats easy enough to do!
I did that by accident when I was installing my usb mouse and I still had my ps/2 mouse installed.

Is there an easy way I can host my own website on MY computer? (My computer being the server) And would I still have to register the name somewhere?
Thanks!

I use a freeware program called "Rambooster". It runs in the taskbar and will automatically free up a chosen amount of memory when it gets down to a chosen amount of free mem. I can often go a couple of weeks without rebooting, while multitasking and running large programs. (Programs...
Like reghakrs suggestion, Make a copy of a shorcut to internet explorer and under its properties, in the shortcut tab, in the 'target' box, add a 'space' and then the address of the webpage
For example:
"C:\Program Files\Inte
rnet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www.google.com

What was the program? It might not even be needed to use the camera. I'd try uninstalling it, even just temporarly to see if thats the problem.

Hmm.. I had this once before - cant remember how i fixed it. If its checked - try unchecking "Auto Arrange" from the right-click menu on your desktop. - amgv84
Yea, you can use TweakUI to remove any entries from the list. (Just be careful not to remove any programs you might want to uninstall later.) If you dont already have it, you can get TweakUI at: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/default.htm
I think microsoft provides install instructions, but...
