It is an INI of the switch to force the processor to go to CPU 1 in your case. An INI takes about 1 minute to complete. If you upgraded Core 1, it could take several minutes to complete because of the firmware upgrade of your system. i.e. t1 cards, fiji cards, controllers, msdls.
What it does...
You will have to go to PDT to get the new Loadware to the CS1000E processor. Once the LW is on the CPU, reboot the MGC and it will do the upgrade for you. You will have to reboot the MGC is the only problem.
I had that problem while upgrading to Rel 5 with Geographic Redundancy. I had to...
ELANs that are on the same subnet can be routed. But the have to be in the SAME subnet. That is for release 4.5 and earlier. With Release 5.0 you can have the ELAN in different subnets that route between each other. The reason for VLANS is to keep broadcast traffic down.
If you are going to...
It looks like the MGC is loading from a GOLD image. Once you boot the mgc into service it should NOT boot from gold image. After it finds a Call Server and gets it mgcsetup.xml file, it should boot from the CF (compact flash). The Call Server upgrades the MGC to cause it to boot from the CF...
Plug into the front of the MC32 card and login. Type IPInfoShow and itgCardShow. It will give you all the ip information you need. Of course you will new the switch login name and password to do this.
The Daughter boards on the MGC will NOT register any IP phones. Only SS, VMGC(MC32) or VMGC(MC32S) with TPS turned on in the Node properties will register IP phones. Your best bet is to get a second Signaling Server.
You do have to program MGC in the MEDIA GATEWAY prompt under the Superloop...
The MGC is looking for a file called mgcsetup.xml from the Call Server. Question? Do you have the MGC configured in you node prooperties under the Superloop of the MEDIA GATEWAY? If you don't, the MGC will never boot into service. The mgcsetup.xml file comes from the node propertites. If you...
I did not know that SSC card is supported in Rel 5.0. The school I went to said you have to replace ALL SSC cards with MGC cards and CPPM for the pocessor.
If you are looking at the IP addres in LD 48, that is the address of the Callpilot as programed on the ELAN NIC card in CallPilot. You will have to change the ELAN address in CallPilot (on the server and use the config wizard in CallPilot Manager to make the change). Make sure the switch IP...
The 1000T is just a stand alone system like an option 11c. It only contains trunks. It must be set up just like a 1000E except it will contain NO stations, only trunks. It requires a signal server of its own and a node set up also. IP trunks need to be set up in both the 1000E and the 1000T...
