My guess is that it will still work!. Nortel are pushing us all to Rlse 5.0 with the CPPM processors. As long as the card cage has remained unchanged, then the Dual Pri's should still work.
On a different topic with Rlse 5, I find it hard for Nortel to justify making customers ditch their SSC cards for the CPPM, if they are going IP!. During the install process on the SSC 5.0, the first question still is..
"Does this system has a signalling Server?"
I can understand the changout should a customer require a backup processor, but in most cases the SSC card will be just fine. All of these little "extras" will push some customers to go for another supplier. In the UK, quite a few have gone over to Mitel.
If you have CS1000M SG or MG, NCTK43 are still working with Rls 5.0
What Nortel means is that in the new Media Gateways, there is no way to install DPRI nor DDP2 boards. Only one slot PRI are possible, like in Opt11C.
I did not know that SSC card is supported in Rel 5.0. The school I went to said you have to replace ALL SSC cards with MGC cards and CPPM for the pocessor.
The SSC card is supported!. But not for IP working. Nortel is trying to push customers down a common path. A workaround that "BT" has done in the UK with Nortel, is to upgrade a non IP 11c / Succession 1000m system to 5.0 retaining the same hardware & then have a request put in for IP gear such as a signalling server etc.
BT were concerned with having many unhappy customers paying for a new processor card that was not needed.
