I have a 1000E system in my lab with a 1000T module. I have 4 PRI's going into the 1000T basic cabinet and 3 MC-32's in the 1000T expansion cabinet. I have 6 1000E's set up with MC-32's and 2 SServers running. I have two test phones (TDM) working across the 1000E. I cannot get the 1000T unit on line. Using Element Manager when I attempt to add a MC-32 in the 1000T it will not accept any entry for the loop number. Do I need to assign a supl number to the 1000T before adding MC-32's? Also, on the SSC cards in the 1000T B+E I have an amber LED on. Any ideas?

Given the fact that you have an amber light, could mean where you have the MC-32, the system does not know its there because where the MC is install the ssc card could be in survialable mode, connect to the serial port at the back and hit return/enter and you will see surviable and the TTY.

U might have a faulty IP daughter board on your ssc either.

Post if you need anymore help,

Cheers,

Killian

i would add the xpe and supl in 97 then attempt using the element manager again..

The 1000T is just a stand alone system like an option 11c. It only contains trunks. It must be set up just like a 1000E except it will contain NO stations, only trunks. It requires a signal server of its own and a node set up also. IP trunks need to be set up in both the 1000E and the 1000T. Either SIP or H323. It will use the same NRS (common NRS to control both systems) as the 1000E. There is a lot more than just that but it gives us an ideal what is needed.

The single IP daughterboard was changed out for a new one.The SSC card in the 1000t main and expansion was changed with a working good one.The Dual IP daughterboard was changed in the 1000t main with a working good one, and all the MAC's were changed also on the IPR's.
The only thing that was not done as per the NTP was on the install of the 1000t expansion software.., the IP address was manually input, instead of using the other option to get IP automatically from the 1000t main.
Do we need to have the H.323.trunks between 1000e and 1000t need to be esablished for the 1000t SSC card lights to go green, I don't see why that would matter, the 1000t is nothing more than a media gateway with an expansion.I think reloading the software with the auto option to get IP might make a difference.
One more thing the 1000t expansion is the same as the Main..slots 0 thru 4, should that be different?
