When it comes down to many choices, I like to know how many system techs are employed, how far they are away, and where the nearest parts depot is (with a real "stock" of parts).
I'd also want to meet with (at least) the service manager to see how customer focused, ethical, etc., they are. The sales team is rarely needed after the contract is signed.
If you pick a local company, you could go so far as running a Dunn & Bradstreet report on them, so see how organized and effective they really are. I used to do that to all vendors before signing with them.
Sorry I should have explained a little more. I've spoken with and have had relations with a few of the ones mentioned Verizon, Shared, Ronco, ect.. I was just wondering if anyone had any info on the others. I thought I might include them this time around just to get some different pricing and to see what they could offer. But if anyone has had a really bad time with them then I'm not going to waste my time with them.
I've subbed for Xeta. They seem quite well organized. I think they have a hand in the Nortel Social Security system upgrades - not the primary, but at least they have some future.
I work on the SSA contract but haven't seen anyone from XETA yet, are they field techs? I work on the back end in VNOC on weekends.
i have worked with Presidio before, I am 50/50 with them so far. Sometimes you get someone who knows what they are doing but dealing with them was difficult. I did have one run in and they handled everything perfectly though.
General Dynamics is one of the big players on the SSA contract also, and the field techs they are using for the office replacement have been from multiple vendors.
