Hello,
Is there any trick to modify the configuration (enable and disable Outgoing Call Bar of a Specific User) of IP Office 500v2 using Network Services (Telnet, SSH, etc...)

so there is any trick to enable and disable Outgoing Call Bar of a specifics users remotely by short code ? because the situation is that i'm working on a Quota on the billing software, so if the amount is cross the Quota , the user must have a restriction of outgoing calls.

You can use a button to toggle it for a specific person though (with some ARS programming done beforehand) :)

you didnt understand the problem , how can i program a button for the specific user , so i wait for him to toggle the button if he cross the Quota ? no one gonna toggle the button , so i need sometimes automated , and working with the software ,

This should have been researched before you committed to it then, what is this software? If you have paid for it they should know what they're doing and what systems can be manipulated in this way, the IPO isn't one of them.

Sounds like you are using the IPO as a multi-tenant system and emulating a line providers spend cap type setting, 2 things the IPO also can't really do :)

thats why , i'm looking for a solution to enable and disable the Outgoing Call Bar of a user from another user using a Short Code

enable/disable ARS, but you need lots of ARS tables as it's one per user you want to do it for.
This will get messy though and very much a square peg in a round hole scenario :)

We are using the LAN connection to Modify the Configuration of the IP Office , why its not possible to modify the configuration manually without Manager ?

There are a number pf hotel apps that enable & disable guest rooms as req. so there is definitely a mechanism that can achieve this (at least one I know of dose it by merging in programming changes).
It may also be possible through the TAPI interface but this is something I do not know.

If you are trying to develop an application that works with the IP Office in this wa then you really need to be speaking to Avaya Via the Dev-Connect program.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

yeah , i have seen it with CMC Definity System , on a Hotel , i'm wondering if there is the same mechanism on IP Office

You could probably do it through Configuration Web Servies since you can do it in Web Manager or you can do it from TAPI.
Web Services is not well documented though.

Now for my next trick... i'm going to make my customers disappear right before your very eyes folks!

This here is very dangerous folks. You may have heard about R10 in the papers. Well here it is tonight for you lovely folks in the audience.
NO! Don't look in the box. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

I'll just need a valued customer base to step up on stage for me.
You there with the small medium business.
When i mave my magic wand, R10 will be released, And with any luck.. you'll be gone.

Now remember folks, we are trained professionals who have been releasing emergency patches for a long time. Please do not try this at home.

And a one and a two...

Here's a witty rejoinder for you.

Late to the party, but you could always run this by VMPro and have it look up current quota in the database you're using.
If no VMPro, use the suggested magic wand to get it :) (it's worth it by the way, every penny of it)

Kind regards

Gunnar

There is a XML SDK on devconnect which can do that, otherwise you need TAPI software and there is a feature which enables a user to change the status of a phone but i cannot find it in the docs right now.

You'll need a CTI link Pro licence to even attempt any of this though :)

But as I said this is not possible "using Network Services (Telnet, SSH, etc...)" :)
