Hello,
We just had a Norstar Compact ICS system installed in our office. This sytem is connected to an Autopilot 100 and has the new 7.0 software. The installer had left 2 wires hanging and explained that they were for the music on hold source. I hooked it up to a radio via headphone out wire spliced in, but cannot get the music source to come on when I place a call on hold, OR when trying to use the Music Background feature (F# 86). When I would try to listen to background music on a handset I just get the prompt "Not Available". The installer told me to just connect the music source and that should be it, but it doesn't seem to be working that way.
My question is..
Is there something I have to enable on the system to get it to ebnable the music on hold feature/music source input, and if so, how do I do this. I am a newbee on phone systems and would really appreciate someones help.
Things I have tried...
- Adding Feature #86 to a button to test.
- Reversing polarity of the cable to make sure it was connected properly
Thank You!
