A bit of trouble but...open the web page and click CTRL + PrntScrn. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories and Paint. Click CTRL + V. Click the Select tool (dotted edge box) and drag a box around the table. Right click on the table and select CUT. Click File and New..no need to save changes...
If the printer is not being detected correctly check both ends of the USB cable to ensure they are firmly attached. Do not have the cable connected to a USB hub or other device. If possible, try using an alternate USB cable that has been tested with another device and is known to work...

1. Click Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes or Start, Control Panel, Printers and Other Hardware, Printers and Faxes. (This will depend on whether they have the PC configured for Classic Windows or not)

Click on Start>Run and type in the word SPOOL When the spool folder opens, double click the Printers folder. Delete anything in that folder. If you get a message that any of the items there are in use by another program, shut your computer down...all the way off....let it sit a minute then...
Is your printer listed under "other" or "unknown devices" in device manager? if it is, highlight it and click "remove"...confirm delete...then hit "refresh". It should find new hardware and install it where it belongs.
In your printer property settings, do you have "use printer offline" selected? If so, you'll still see the file being sent to LPT1, but it will not print.
Canon has some really nice photo printers out right now...the S800, S820 and S900 are all really nice. They use individual ink tanks so when you're out of one color that's all you need to replace. Also, they have the regular colors AND the photo color inks included.

You can change the file associations through Windows exploreer. Click View > Folder Options > File Type. That's where you would change the way it opens the different type files.

Have you tried going into your BIOS and changing the boot options to first search for CD? That should make it so you can boot directly to the Win2K cd and start the installation.
Insert the 98 disk and click on Browse CD. Click on the "Tools" folder..."Reskit"..."Batch". Then click on the setup icon. This tool gathers all the information you need into a .inf file. Just answer a few questions and it'll walk you through the setup process.
