Unable to print

Hi,

Win98 Sec
Laserjet 6L

As I can't print document like Word ect,I try to print a test page Control Panel->Printers->Property ... an error comes says"Windows was unable to print the test page ...". But when I try to print a .txt file on DOS mode it was printed. Why this

Have you tried reinstalling the printer drivers?

Click on Start>Run and type in the word SPOOL When the spool folder opens, double click the Printers folder. Delete anything in that folder. If you get a message that any of the items there are in use by another program, shut your computer down...all the way off....let it sit a minute then restart. Also unplug the printer from the electric outlet for a minute. That usually clears the printers memory and deletes the remaining files from the spool folder.
