Should you answer your own 911 calls?

WE have some large customers who route their 911 calls to their Security Dept With ESA (Emergency Services Access) software the 911 dialed digits can be sent to another dn in the pbx. If the cust wants to send the 911 calls to the PSAP then a key on a set can flash and signal the owner that...

Why can't we see the name of the external caller(s).

You must add NDS (name delivery service) to the recap prompt on the d chan. Disabling the d chan does not take down the pri just prevents new in/out calls until d chan is reenable in LD 96

Close as I can get If you are sending the LD 95 name to the public network along with the clid then your pri has the feature Name Delivery Usually set up to only receive the name and clid of public caller, but if cls of set as described below, then network would pass your Ld 95 name. The...

IVJOE Do what I recommend to all my customers Tell the network folks to keep their 9xxx and 0xxx numbers. They love to sell those if they can Nobody with a pbx wants them for dids. You said only a handful Maybe this will work for you

You said some of the calls? Are all of the calls incoming and are the trunks pri? Do the calls come in then back out on the same trunk route?

If the trunk route is route 1-19 make sure the console operator monitors the trunk group keys on the left side of the 2250 console. The 10 keys are routes 0-9 press SHIFT to see the next 10. If it is programmed as page trunk, when operator presses loop key then page key, she takes control of...

    Key Ring back tone disable

Change the key to voice call and target the dn on the set that the hot d was pointed at. As long as the dn the voice call is pointed at is single app and is always idle the caller will not hear ringback tone. If handsfree the caller just presses the key The called party replys handsfree

    Block outbound CLID per set

sporty2 is correct When our first pri with clid went in in 1990 the co would send whatever you sent from the switch. Every pri I have implemented for my customers in the past 10 years is screened by the CO so that an incorrect or someone else's number is not being sent. When the clid feature...

    Caller ID on LD T-1

Your local trunks are provisioned as PRI you said. Therefore the T1 serving those local trunks is provisioned as ISDN with CLID capability(incoming and outgoing) The T1 from your ld carrier is programmed as standard dti (digital trunk interface) that uses fas signaling (facility associated)...

TM 3.1 when set up correctly is a good product. I installed it on one of my customer's system in Mobile last week. The IT guy that is using it also has a good working knowledge of the cli on the maint terminal. TM 3.1 is for users that have a "working" knowledge of the Nortel database...

    Caller ID on LD T-1

The T1 is the facility (circuit) your trunks work on. Those digital trunks can be provisioned by your local or ld carrier as isdn pri trunks providing in or outbound calls on any of the channels. If the ld t1 is not isdn pri then no caller id info is passed/received. Ask the ld carrier what...

FNA 2616 to an outside number.

GHTROUT is correct. You will not be able to fdn to a carrier are other remote dn and after answer, send them additional digits. All of the digits are sent together. We have had to point calls to trunks that can dial direct (no access code required) in order to satisfy customer as our work around.

Programming pauses in call forwarding strings??

When the digits are outpulsed they are all sent at once. You may be able to program a * in the call foward target dn, but since all are outpulsed the far end has not answered yet, so following digits are not sent to them (LD provider).
  18. roupe

    Program a pause in DCFW

If the trunks you are outdialing on are PRI, then all digits are collected and sent at once. You cannot pause the outpulsed digit stream and then send additional digits.

    "pause" in system speed call

If the co trunks are pri, bars sends all digits at the same time no matter if you try to send a pause or not. The digit stream sent does not stop, or pause then send the rest

Insert a pause in a DMI

cannot use/add pauses when connecting via pri Any manipulation done by dmi tables has effect on digits sent/deleted
