    Creating a Stub Extension

Hello All, Could you help with what I hope will be a simple programming request? We have two sites, each with an Option 11c. On one site we've got two extensions - x2222 & x3333, each with a DDI assigned. This site was easy because we have a great maintenance company who made them for us! On...

Adding additional DN to 500 set

Hi Allenmac, I saw this suggestion elsewhere, but unfortunately it wouldn't work for us. This setup is in a retail environment, and they have the external calls ringing into a "backoffice" area away from clients. The people who are using the cordless phones will be going back and forth between...

Adding additional DN to 500 set

Hey Everyone, I'm hoping that someone can help with a programming query. External calls into our site are set to hit DN 3999 which is the pilot DN for a hunt group. The first DN of this hunt group is DN 4000 which is added as KEY 04 MCR 4000 on four digital M3820 handsets. This setup works...

Internal 2500 extension - rining on external calls

Hey johnpool, Thanks for your reply. On this switch we definitely only have one DDI. I know that usually you use the last x digits of your DDI as your DN unless you have a mapping programmed between IDC (???) and DN. For this one its just a hunt group problem I think. Do you know how to print...

Oops, sorry for the mis-spelling in the thread title! If anyone knows how to get these phones to rinG on external calls I'd be very appreciative!! Phil.

Internal 2500 extension - rining on external calls

Hey All, I was wondering if someone could help. We have a Meridian Option 11 connected with an ISDN 30 circuit with one incoming DDI. When you call this external number any digital phone with extension 4001 configured as a SCR key will ring. However, we also have some DECT handsets which are...

    Serial connector on C4060 Handset

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the small serial connector on the side of the Nortel C4060 handset, specifically the pinout for it. I'd like to try upgrading the firmware on one of our handsets and can't find anywhere in the UK who sells the cable you need to do...

Documentation for MDECT / Integrated Dect

Hey All, Does anyone have any documentation for the Meridian Dect Systems, specifically the DMC4/DMC8 cards? I want to update the firmware on our card and have successfully done it using OTM over a network connection. However, I don't want to activate the new firmware without having recovery...

Hi Firebird Scrambler, I've sent my email address over to you. I also checked and our MDECT firmware is 47000203. Phil.

Change Ringing Cadence of Attended Transfers

firebirdscrambler, Thank you *SO* much. Words can't express how frustating this has been. So frustrating that I'm sitting here at 11:50pm on a Sunday evening trying to find an answer!! My problem seems different than the one caused by MPLR19478. The handsets ring fine on internal calls its...

Change Ringing Cadence of Attended Transfers

firebirdscrambler, How did you get hold of a newer patch that fixed your ringing problem?? Phil.

Change Ringing Cadence of Attended Transfers

Yes, we have a maintenance contract with BT. I don't think they're going to help us though given that the original C4050 handsets work (kind of) so in their eyes everything is fine. Phil.

Change Ringing Cadence of Attended Transfers

Oh, one more little bit of information. When you make an internal call to one of the original C4050 handsets the display on the handset briefly flashes "External" before showing the Caller ID of the caller. Obviously this is wrong given that it is an internal call... Hope this helps a bit, Phil.

Change Ringing Cadence of Attended Transfers

Guys, Thank you so much for your replies - I've been tearing my hair out with this for weeks and its great to have the advice of experts. This installation has given us nothing but nightmares for the last 4 years. It was seriously botched by the original installers and to this day does some of...

Change Ringing Cadence of Attended Transfers

Hi firebirdscrambler, No, we don't have any standard analogue handsets - the switch doesn't have any analogue cards at all. The weird thing about these DECT phones is they are configured as analogue extensions (500's) from TN 7 00 onwards. We're replacing some old DECT handsets which are...

Change Ringing Cadence of Attended Transfers

Dear All, This is a repost of an older question that no one replied to, but I think I have more information to go on now. I have some DECT cordless phones on a DMC8 card which show up as analogue extensions on our switch. If you directly call one of these handsets they ring fine, but if one of...

Adding DeTeWe handsets to Option 11 DMC8 Card

Hi Everyone, Firstly: thanks for all the useful advice on this forum. Its been incredibly useful. My problem is that we have an Option 11 with the MDECT System attached to it (using a DMC8 card). Originally we had 12 C4500 Dect Handsets (these are supposedly Nortel / BT handsets but I think...
