Internal 2500 extension - rining on external calls

Hey All,

I was wondering if someone could help.

We have a Meridian Option 11 connected with an ISDN 30 circuit with one incoming DDI. When you call this external number any digital phone with extension 4001 configured as a SCR key will ring.

However, we also have some DECT handsets which are programmed as type 2500 handsets. I can't figure out how to make these ring on external calls.

We use OTM for maintenance and you can't add "line buttons" as with Digital phones.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Phil.

Oops, sorry for the mis-spelling in the thread title!

If anyone knows how to get these phones to rinG on external calls I'd be very appreciative!!

Phil.

Hey GHTROUT,

Here's an example of one of the extensions:

I also did a print out of DN 4001 in ld 11 and got this:

DN 4001
TYPE FFC
FEAT GRPF

From what I can find this is a hunt group, so do I just need to add the extension into a hunt group? If so how do I do this?

Thanks,

Phil.

to make any set (analog or digital) a ddi set, the dn or scr key has to be in your ddi group... in most switches you will have either 100 or 1000 of x number of ddi numbers.. stateside the phone bill has your did range.. it's not in the switch.. i can't help with otm, command line is way faster

Hey johnpool,

Thanks for your reply.

On this switch we definitely only have one DDI. I know that usually you use the last x digits of your DDI as your DN unless you have a mapping programmed between IDC (???) and DN.

For this one its just a hunt group problem I think. Do you know how to print the programmed hunt groups? From what I've found out so far this is done in ld 57.

Phil.

I see you have CLA FBA - this may be an issue.

"FBA" is defined as "external DID/DDI calls to the set while it is busy will ring the attendant rather than follow the "HUNT" - Set CLS to FBD

Also notice that your example of DN 2049 is the "MARP" TN and also has CLA HTA FNA, with the HUNT and FDN set to the same DN as the phone.

Set HUNT X and FTR XFDN
Set CLS FND HTD

On the phone that "should" define the hunting and FDN or this DN, re-enter the DN and respond YES at MARP
