If these are in fact old database files, you can move them to a back location, then run optimizer to move your current database files to this location. Once the files are safely moved, you can delete the old database files.
Hope this helps

I would try logging in via user@domain.com. You may want to change the alias name to something way out there, that you know is not ambiguous. You need to either restart the Exchange Directory (not practical) or wait as there is a latency before this takes effect.
Hope this helps

Hi Mark
Glad to hear that worked. I have seen this many times but am unsure what exactly in the AV causes this. You may want to search your AV vendor's site or contact them regarding this. They may have a patch or a fix for this.

Hi Suzanne,
Try this again but follow these steps
Stop your Information Store
1. Rename your MBDATA folders to MDBDATA.OLD, these may exist on multiple drives
2. Create new MDBDATA folder(s)
3. Copy your saved Priv1.edb and Priv1.stm files and any pub1.edb and pub1.stm files to your MDBDATA...
You will also want to review your application logs for relevant errors. Are only your stores dismounting or is the Information Store service stopping as well?

The dir.edb contains the Directory Database. Your mailbox is contained within the Directory. The Information Store contains your actual mailbox data. So if you restored an Information store to a new server that had a blank directory, you would have mailbox data, but no way to retrieve it as...
Try applying the service pack for NT again and then reapply the service pack for OWA
