Can't find it at support.avaya.com.
I know it was there just 18 hours ago.
Anyone know anything about it's disappearance? Is this going to be another one of those 8.1.5x releases, where there are three variations put up and taken down in a week's time?
When I installed it it screwed up and said "Network error cannot read IP Office.msi" (or something similar) even though it was installing from the C: drive, it took Microsofts repair tool to fix as the same error popped up when trying to install, perhaps I wasn't the only one
It is gone indeed.
But if you really need it, it is still on the PLDS download site
Click on VMPro and select the PLDS download.
You will need PLDS enabled ofcourse
Remove the Download pub ID and enter the application field with IP Office and select 8.1
Then it will show the last two 8.1 releases including 8.1.69
In the past the maintenance release where trialed a couple of weeks but Avaya ditched those maintenance trials.
This would have covered a lot of all these little issues and saved a lot of people a lot of hassle.
Yes, as I mentioned when I started this thread, it was taken down for PRI issues.
HOWEVER, I would roll it out for sure with clients that do not use a PRI but do use Park buttons and/or 1616 phones. I've rolled it out to several systems that use SIP and Park Buttons, and one system that uses SIP, Park, and 1616 phones, and all problems went away.
@amriddle, I had the same msi error when installing the software.
The resolution is to wipe the temp directories :
%USER%\appdata\temp and %SYSTEM%\temp
aka c:\users\<username>\appdata\temp ( hidden folder ) and c:\windows\temp
Then it will install without problems.
I haven't used the software yet but I always keep the previous release as a backup ( I know Avaya for some time now ) and rolling back is easy, just renaming some folders.
so now it's back up on the support site. still 8.1.69, so what's the deal? They pull it (because it was missing yesterday when I needed it) and now it's back up? same version, so do I dare use it? I have a customer with 2 PRI and NI2 and yes, one of them is AT&T. what to do?
