Voicemail "remote access is not configured"

Hi

When dialling *17 I am getting error message "remote access is not configured" - voicemail is turned on.

Avaya IP Office Manager 5.2.

any thoughts?

will this collect users voicemail? it works for some users
 
I imagine they have no Vxxx entry in their source numbers and/or no password set :-)

Yep.

You may want to start dbgview tracing.

If it does not work for some users then you may want to check those user short codes to see if *17 has an entry.

 
aha.. I see that you have other posts regarding your vm installation. So just disregard my previous post.

 
Yes. but its two separate installations, the other post has been sorted with shortcodes. I cant understand why some users can collect voicemail and some cant.
 
Are you trying to access VM from outside the office ? And is this VM pro or embedded VM?

 
VM Pro inside the office.

Extension is 216,
voicemail is on
Source number is V216
password is 216

this has been solved, i restarted the VM service
