Unlimitel.ca IP office R7

First time post. Just installed an IP office R7 and use unlimitel.ca for our sip. can make and receive calls but the outgoing call display does not work properly. Anyone know the setup? thanks!

I run it on 4.2 with my SOE
in the SIP URI under display name enter what you want to show manually into the field.
as well as in the shortcode for dialing on the SIP line
N"@209.217.98.194"A
the A will allow the caller ID to be sent (but I am not sure if I really need that but I have it in there so give it a shot if it doesn't work without it.

Thank you for the quick reply. Still having issues. I am a novice at this, so if someone could spell out what I need to do.

Here is the scenario.

Want the outgoing call display on the unlimitel to our our company name and phone number, but when twinning I want the call display to be the incoming name and number. Just can't seem to get it to display correctly, it either only shows nothing or just our name and number.

1 more side note.... twinning does not seem to work when the incoming caller is unknown name and number.... I can see on the monitor it tries to initiate the call, but for some reason the call does not go through and does not ring on the cell at all. I think I have messed up the programming...

I could be wrong but I don't think that sending the original caller ID works for SIP trunks.
just had a look into the product description and it also doesn't mention this feature for SIP trunks.

Again, thank you for the reply. Do you mean it does not work with Avaya? or Unlimitel?

with Avaya, not at the moment at least, they are working on it as far as I know to make that work but no ETA yet.

It will do for mobile twinning using SIP trunks.

Turn off "Send Original Party Information for Mobile Twinning" on the system / twinning TAB.

Go to your SIP trunk / Line and set "Send Caller ID" to Diversion Header.

You can then create a VU and set up twinning on it and make sure you tick "Twin When Logged Out"

Have you tried setting PAI to none in the SIP URI. This can override information you're are trying to change on 'Send Caller ID'.
