Is there an easy way to setup a secondary extension for an existing voicemail box on IP Office 11?

(e.g. if I have 1000 and 1001 and I want both to go into 1000's voicemail box?)

If you're using embedded, you would have to use a hunt group.

if you're using Voicemail Pro, you can do a leave action on x1001's box for 1000.

This is Linux/Voicemail Pro.
In this case, I have someone who's retiring and the desire is for a short term forwarding of voicemail. I can see how I can create a Leave action and route voicemail messages to another users voicemail box. I can also see where I could reconfigure the inbound call's for that DID to an alternative extension. Would it be easier to create a short code or something along those lines to route call's to another extension instead?

If you would like direct calls to route to 1000 instead of 1001, you can set a fordward unconditional to 1000, and log them out of any existing hunt groups. That is easiest, as once a replacement is found, you can undo the fordwarding instead of checking the ICR and log them back into the group (you might forget to check if changed at the ICR, I know I do). It would still be advisable to have a leave action in the voicemail box to 1000, incase someone direct transfers to their voicemail box via #1001, and then removing the action once they are replaced.

Depending what version you are using I would add U1000 in the user Source Numbers of 1001. This will light the light and the 1000 mailbox would just show as an extra line in Visual Voice.
