Hi,

i can telnet to cms and login then run cms, what terminal emulation should i use with telnet, i've tried 4410, 605, 615, 513, ansi.

4410 is almost there i can navigate throught the options and make changes but the F5 or exit/esc doesn't work to get out of the table back to the menu options.

does anyone know what key/s i should be pressing or what emulation i need to use.

thanks in advance

Use 615. If you're using ASA you need to set the emulation on the properties before connecting. Then tap in 615 when connected.

Hi,

thanks but i'm not using ASA i'm using telnet from the dos prompt to connect to the cms.

any ideas with this?

you need a terminal emulator like procomm or asa which supports 4410 or 615 terminals. telnet from dos will not work with any of the terminal types supported by cms.

That answers my question...

I'm often out on the floor in a large call centre and wanted to now if i could just telnet from any workstation rather than go back to my desk to use ASA all the time to make quick changes.

thanks for your time.

maybe use windows remote desktop into a machine in the data center running asa?
