Hello
When I have a call in progress and I want to transferr the call to another ext--this is what happens. The transferr rings at the ext for about 6 times or so but does not go to vmail it then rings back at my phone and says the party is unavailabe.
How do make it go to vmail if the person is not pickingnup?

You could have one of the following two scenerios, you will have to ask your customer.

1. Is the phone you are transfering too, is it suppose to fwd to voicemail, if so after how many rings. If they say yes then check the FWD no answer under terminals and sets and ensure it has a lower threshold then transfer call back under system programming.

2. If they say that the calls should never go to voicemail unless a physical body transfers them to their mailbox, usually the case, then when the call comes back the caller will have to say "Mr or Mrs so is not available would you like their voicemail." if the response is yes then without putting the call on hold have the user hit Feature 986, if its a norstar voicemail system, and the extention. This will send the calls to VMAIL.

Hope this helps.
