Should I reboot my Definity G3? 3

Is it generally a good idea to reboot the switch ones in a while? Will it help to clear unexplained problems? Rebooting sure works on PCs.
If yes, how long is a while?

Just want to give everyone an update on my problem.
Today I switched CDR output from CDR1 to eia and after a while (10 minutes or so) I switched it back to CDR1 and the darn link started to work! I have done this switch back and forth at least half a dozen times last week with no results. I guess it still does not fix the real problem (which I still don't know what it is) but at least I'm collecting the data.
