CMC Cabinet Connections for Definity G3

Hey All,

I’m preserving a Lucent/Avaya DEFINITY G3csi system running R6 in two CMC cabinets. Before I connect the two cabinets together I want to verify how they connect. The install manual is not detailed on how the TDM cable is supposed to connect. I wanted to ask: does it connect straight through, is it flipped on one side or the other? I noticed the cable has a natural twist in it so I wanted to ask as well as an arrow with TOP so I figured it would be worth asking.

Check out the install section on the TDM cables. I could tell you from my head on how this works with a G650 but I am back to the books with the older stuff.

Another question, is there a power sequence to start them in? I do have the dip switches set to the correct cabinet IDs (A/B).

You can essentially just flip them on, processor cabinet last.
