SCN 1 site has Unobtainable ext

I have 2 sites, and up until I replaced a Digital Phone set card SCN dialing worked perfectly. The DS card had gone bad and had an Analog stack card, which was installed on to the replacement card. Site A is not able to be reached by extension dialing from Site B. Site B can dial other sites no problem, and the other sites can not reach Site A.

I can ping both systems, and in System Status the SCN is listed as UP.

Here is a trace of site B calling site A:

Do a monitor trace on the A site, the cause code 34 would indicate that no channels are available but we don't know on what.

Would guess codec mismatch or no VCM card.

No, it should be a separate card, look in System Status which cards you have in the system.

Reading over it I came to same conclusion that teletechman did. You replaced a combo card, which has a built in VCM, with a digital 8 which does not. You need to put a VCM card in (or use a combo card instead of the digital 8 or simply add a combo card).

Yep, the "analogue stack card" would suggest an ATM combo, you need another one, or VCM card if you have space :)
