Good Morning all.
I have posted before here before, and now since I can spell Definity I'm now the goto guy for these PBX's. I inherited another older G3 (V9). Here’s the scoop, I am fairly green to Avaya. I have this PBX that I am getting a PRI up and running. I have the Avaya Manuals and a couple existing PBXs to reference.
Here’s my dilemma, my predecessor used the “Incoming Call Handling” tab of the trunk to route to extensions (only 10 DID’s so this worked fine). However, I only see 18 slots and I now have 100 DIDs. We are using 3 digit extensions.
So our DID range is 1300-1399, and extensions are 300-399. What is the best way to route these calls. I have read that using ARS tables is the "Right" way, but none of the Avaya manuals I have tell you how to use them for inbound calls, only outbound.
The “Incoming Call Handling” is pretty intuitive. I’ve played with ARS going out, but not inbound.
Please help…
