Avaya CM 6.2, Avaya Aura Messaging 6.3.3
I've configured inbound faxing successfully, but getting nowhere with outbound. Downloaded and installed the fax client and set up the Avaya Aura Messaging Fax printer and the fax http port. I've used my mailbox number and password for the credentials in the http port. My mailbox is enabled for fax. When I try to "print" to the Avaya Aura Messaging Fax(ie, send a document by fax) and give it the internal extension number of another fax line in the office, it comes back with error message "PrintFile failed, rc = 5". Same if I try an external Direct Dial number
Meanwhile, in the Aura Messaging SMI I can go to Diagnostics (Application) and test Fax Outcall which does deliver successfully when testing to the internal extension number of the other fax line in the office, but not for its Direct Dial. I try the Call-out test and it works for internal extensions but not for external numbers:
Test: Call-out
Checking Call-out ... calling 079095***** ... [ OK ]
Line:7 (irapi7)Got dial toneNetwork is busyNear End disconnectedCP=NETWORK_BUSY
Dial Plan seems configured OK in Sites
Site External (Public Network) Dial Plan
Describe the public telephony network dial plan applicable to this site.
Country code: 44
International prefix: 00
National prefix: 0
International dialing (to this country):
National destination code:
Dialing within national destination:
Subscriber number length (within this site's national destination code): 10
Outside line prefix: 9
Don't understand why the test fax is working for internal extensions from within the Aura SMI but not from the Aura Fax Client, and I can't find any help on what the error code rc = 5 means. Also don't know why the test call out to external numbers is failing, but obviously we will need to be able to call out when it comes to sending faxes from desktops
