Norstar M7310 automatically selects line

Hello there,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes nothing.

In my office i have a norstar m7310 phone. Whenever i pick up the handset it automically selects line 8. If line 8 is in use it will select line 7 and so on. This is really annoying. I have been playing around with the features a lot but cant seem to find the one to disable this.

My phone is the only phone in the office that does this.

I would just like to pick up the handset and it to select nothing. Please help, thanks !

Under set programing goto Prime line and change it from Pool to select none.

Ya i tried that.

this is what i did:

Press Feature **266344
Log: 266344

System Displays Configuration
Press SHOW.
System Displays 1. Trk/Line Data
Press NEXT.
System Displays 2. Line Access
Press SHOW.
System Displays Show Set:
Enter Ext. #
System Displays Line Assignment
Press NEXT 5 Times.
System Displays Prime Line: <None>
CHANGE


This did not work. It was already set to NONE actually.

how do i check the hot line settings?

I don't think your sw level has a hotline setting. Are you sure you're entering the right extension under line access? You can double check by pressing f*0, then your intercom button. Your extension will be displayed.

Hotline:
Administration/Capabilities/SetAbilities/2XX/Hotline/

Also do a F*0 Intercom to see that you are the ext you think you are.
