I forgot to say in more detail about the problem. The lines were shown on two Krone strips as you had in the photo. The Compact Plus systems could support two 4 port Analogue line cards or two ISDN 30 cards or even a mixture of the two.
If you look closely at the photo, you can just see on the circuit board the printed writing such as
RX 201 or TX 201 etc.
Numbers (Ports) 201 to 204 refer to lines 001 to 004 on the Norstar and I seem to recall that ports 301 to 304 refer to lines 031 to 034.
The reason why the lines are so far apart was because your ISDN 30 trunks are in blocks of 30 lines that we have in the UK.
Therefore you need to connect to the correct port number for each line and the layout on the krone strip isn't in order. I think we were going to have BRI lines for the UK market, but it was never released which is why you have TX and RX for each line.
I seem to recall some confusion when connecting the analogue trunks onto the krone strip. I'm sure that we normally connect to the TX side, but I think there are some cases where it's labelled wrongly and we have to use the RX side.
