Norstar cics 7.1 time advances 7 hours automatically 1

I have a norstar cics with 7.1 software. When the auto daylight savings feature is turned on, the system time automatically advances 7 hours. The extended daylight savings feature is turned on also. If I disable both features then I can manually set thetime.
Why does the norstar time advance 7 hours?

It is not normal to change seven hours, I turn the auto daylight saving off since every Presidents think it is cool to change it. I let caller ID adjust it.

I don't remember a prompt in the compact or modular Ics to allow caller id to change the time. I know this is a feature of the BCM.

The time and date is adjusted by the caller ID.Auto time and date.

AutoTime&Date
The Automatic Time&Date feature enables the Norstar system to use
incoming CLASS trunk call information to automatically update the time
and date on the Norstar system.

Yep Auto Time and Date is there and that maybe where you are getting the wrong time from. Your provider's clock may be off.

And exactly why I never use Auto Time & Date....the CLID/Carrier can be wrong at times and sure does not help when testing voice mail settings.

Day light savings = Y setting is all you need, if you loose time due to a power fail etc it's not hard to enter F**TIME and correct the time.
