I have IP phones connected to a server edition.
The phones work fine but now and then some phones will display extn =, # to register.
We then register them afresh. This is occurring too frequently.
Why is this and how can it be resolved?
The extn =, # to register would suggest that it's not hot-desking that's the issue but the IP-phones logout(unregister) from the IP Office.
Do you have password set on the base extensions?
Having password on the base extension seem to cause some issues from time to time with the phones not be able to login correctly.
First do you have extensions that match the users? Second do you have a trace that you can load not just a screen cap, run it in default and enable the H323 traces? Third could you download the config that we might see it for ourselves?
