Running 4.2(4) IP Office and VMPro, is that supported on 2008R2 64bit?

Trying to migrate it off a physical machine and onto a VM.

TIA!

Just an update to this.

I migrated everything to a 2008R2 VM and it seems to be working ok at this point. I ended up buying a USBanywhere device that allowed me to continue using my UBS dongle with VMware.

Will let you know if any problems arise.

Ok...one more hiccup I dont have the option to install the feature key server with 5.0.27...Only options I have are:

System Monitor
Manager
System Status
Call Status

What gives?

is there a sentenial driver in the admin folder. that may do it.

Yeap, already ran that..actaully ran the newest version because I didn't think to look there. WHen I noticed it wasnt working I checked Device manager and saw the safenet USB exclamation point. Updated the drivers and rebooted the switch but no luck.

Licenses all coming up invalid.

System Status: THe system was unable to connect to the Feature Key Server. Feature key server IP Address: 172.23.18.22

Which is the ip of my VMPro server, which should be correct.

grab an older copy of manager, uninstall the current version. install the old one complete with FK server, then run the new installer to upgrade to the version you need.

fo shizzle ma nizzle.

I think also, you should be able to install the FK drivers independently - just extract out the <admincd>.exe and browse to for example, ADMIN4_2_23\Sentinel System driver Installer\

that should give you your driver for the USB Key.

Sentinel driver is installed so thats not the problem. Just seems as though anywhereUSB is not compatible with IPOffice.

No. I don't even get that white icon/red cross when its working on my physical 2003 server.

IE right now the dongle is connected to my 2003 server and all licenses are valid, but not icon in the task tray.

I really dont think the keyserver runs in a virtual enviroment, it cant "see" the virtual USB ports. I recall this with a friend and no matter what we did the key serv icon wouldnt appear.

I would buy a serial dongle if you have a 406 or 412.
In a short time there are going EOS and then you cannot get it anymore (new)

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Cool. I tried everything to get it working with no luck. reached out to my partner to see if I could get my licenses transferred over to a serial dongle.

Just so I am clear on this, serial dongle attaches to the IP office switch directly? Then set the License server IP to 0.0.0.0 or leave it blank?

Yes, straight on the DTE port.
No need to enter an ipadres.
Works always and no more hassle with drivers and update etc etc etc.

Got my serial dongle and up and running on a 2008R2 VM.

VMPRo 5.0(27) seems to record blank vm's or just send blank .wav files in emails

Anyone experience this?
