Ok...one last question, If I am using a USB dongle will it work ok with IPoffice/VMPro running on a VM? I know workstation and server support USB but not sure about ESX.
How would I got about getting a serial one? And can I transfer my license from the dongle? Sorry that whole thing is foreign to me as it was here before I got here. I just moved it to wherever VMPro was installed at the time.
You can transfer the licences with the iad of a BP, as for the dongle I'm not sure Avaya sell them anymore but ringing around a few dealers even Ebay will get results I'm sure. Plus if you want to go to R6 only the serial dongles are supported
Had to change my destination for my main incoming call route to VM:<menu name>. But now it answers immediately, doesn't even ring once before the auto attend comes on. Is there a delay I can set somewhere to allow it to ring at least once?
Its working now using VM:MainAttend but no rings, just straight to auto attend. .wav files are there because I get the mainattend when I call the main number.
Everything is working except the MainAttend menu picks up before you even hear a ring on the callers end.
Whereas before on 4.2 it would at least ring once.
Don't complain, I think that's better, the system answers nice and quick. Others on here have asked how to stop it ringing once before the Attendant answers, looks like Avaya listened to them
The SC that Bas suggested doesn't play the MainAttend it just prompts you to enter a mailbox number. Either way I added quotation marks and it did not make a difference.
