Hi there

Big problem here:
IP Small Office v. 2.1 (17) versus Cisco ATA186 with H323 signaling image. The quality is perfect, and all seems to be working perfect!
Except: After exactly 1 minut and 8 seconds the IPO disconnects the call! In Monitor it says something like: "roundtrip delay timeout, call disconnected"

Any idea of where to look? It's quite an urgent problem ;-(

Call me crazy but you might have a hard time getting support on that one. Did you enquire through your official support channel? What did they say?

Peter

PS When you say IPO versus Cisco ATA186 do you mean IPO "with" Cisco ATA186? What exactly are you doing?

I know i'll get a hard time here! I haven't got any response from my normal supporter yet.

My scenario:
Cisco ATA186 used as IP endpoint on IP Office. I have earlier used an adapter from micronet (can't remember te model though..) which worked like a charm. Sadly I can't seem to find that box anywhere now, so i'm looking at alternatives. This is where the Cisco comes in.

What's really annoying is the fact, that besides this "1 minutte problem", the Cisco just works so perfect!

Strange. I have used both multitech and planet (puredata) analog voip gateways with IPO with no such problems.

IPO firmware 2.1 has a huge bug list - you might have discovered a new one. Can you try downgrading to 2.0.18 and see if it still happens?

Peter

Are there bugs in 2.1?? kidding..

I'll se if i can try a testrun on 2.0.18 tommorow!

Maybe I should give Multitech or Planet a go.

What pricerange are these boxes in?

V2.1(15) Has NO bugs, just a lareg number of undocumented negative features- lol

Have you played arround with the IP expension settings on the IPO

Fast stsrt on or off
Direct Media path alwas turmb that off

PS When you say it worked perfectly did you test fax its not perfect until the fax works.

[cheers]

No i didn't test the fax..

But about every combination in the Extension tab has been tested.

More info:
Apparently the IPO is sending a roundtrip dealy request to the Cisco. The Cisco answers the request, but the IPO doesn't seem to recognize the answer. After 3 failed attempts the IPO clears the call...
We are also trying to connect the IPO to a Kirk 1500IP system, but again there is trouble.. According to Kirk, it seems like the IPO's version of H323 is a bit off-standard..

Argh!

Have worked with Kirk on a number of things and would say its more likely to be Kirk that is not standard this is their first attempt at IP.

We have connected the Kirk via the PRI card this works OK but you don't get the nice integration features like you get with analogue. And serial link
