If you've never installed server edition, an important step of installation is neglected if you are using this manual and expecting it to work. While it is briefly glossed over on page 2:
3.2 Software
 A web browser is required for downloading the software and for running the Web Control interface. The supported web browsers for Web Control are:
o Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0+ on Windows XP
o Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0+ on Windows 7
o FireFox 3.6+
 VMPlayer 4.0.0 or higher.

The installation provides no steps to actually make this happen. You'll find that you end up with a perfectly installed server edition that you cannot browse to because Linux centos 64 bit does not come with a default web browser.
You need to get a USB drive and load firefox for Linux on it, extracted. Download Firefox Linux 64 bit US English (pro tip-all Avaya related software US English) here: DOWNLOAD FIREFOX FOR LINUX. Mount the USB drive in the virtual machine. Log in as root and copy the installation across. We used desktop. Install and copy a shortcut to your VMware desktop. Then you can use it to browse to the server for ignition.

Also manager needs to be installed on your local PC running the VMware server if you'd ever like to configure it without using your lappy. Also not mentioned.

Might save some poor bastard a few hours.

Or you could just browse to it from the host pc....jeez

Very much a Friday conversation or should I be banging my head on the table thinking *&!"£9&£s.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Next time login as root and copy/paste the code below (of course you must be connected to internet) :)
Then logout and use startx cmd.

Code:
cd /tmp
wget '[URL unfurl="true"]http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/23.0b10/linux-x86_64/en-US/firefox-23.0b10.tar.bz2'[/URL]
tar -jxvf firefox-23.0b10.tar.bz2 -C /opt
mkdir ~/firfox13
tar jxvf firefox-*.tar.bz2 -C ~/firfox13
mkdir ~/backups
cp -avr ~/.mozilla/ ~/backups

I've got a feeling you can just browse to the IPO from the host PC but the manual doesn't tell you to do that. You've just spent 12 pages of the manual working on the virtual machine and it just says browse to the address of for the ignition, so one assumes it means from the virtual machine unless directed otherwise. Try that first. Then install firefox on the virtual if you have to. What makes it more confusing is that firefox is half installed on the virtual machine at default. That's why I used firefox.

Avaya makes you think out of the box LOL

Did they remove it?
A normal server edition has Firefox installed for sure (it had on 8.1)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

There's an internet tab at the top of the virtual OS. Left click does nothing. Right click opens options and paths which shows %firefox or something which I couldn't make work across two installs. An IT guy couldn't suss it out either.

I think it is because it is the demo solution.
When i have the time i will install a server edition and try but that will take some time.

They indeed broke it or removed it.
I know for sure it worked on 8.1
