Ip office 9.1 embedded voicemail cannot record voice mail greetings
Essential.
9508 phones
When trying to record a mailbox greeting after the "record after tone" Beep......
The screen goes to idle. Hangs up the intercom.
Happens with all phones. No clue here. Any ideas on how to fix? Tried *17 same issue.

9.1.5 wasn't a very good build. I would upgrade to 9.1.12 But that said. Have you tried a reboot?

Make sure you SD card isn't full or near full. They get really squirrely if some one gets over 254 messages as well. Unless your Manager is 9.1.12 you may not want to upgrade just the bins. You can get the full version at ipofficeinfo.com if you don't have access to the Avaya support site.

Then I would also check SSA and make sure nobody has 254 messages. [rednose]

If this is data corruption on the system is an upgrade the way to fix it? Should I just upload a previous save and try that. If there is corruption on the SD the configuration change probably won't fix it as voice mail files are not part of a backup.

Word of warning!

Don't just use the Bin files, you need the SD card folder to upload the correct files to the SD card for the embedded voicemail as this is where your problems lie. Install the correct version of Manager 9.1.12 (with embedded files selected) and use that to upgrade.

I would recreate the sd card with the .12 Manager. Since it's embedded voicemail the sd card could be having issues.

58 % on the sd so we are good there." - Not necessarily. The space usable by embedded voicemail is restricted, regardless of the card capacity.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I shut down the card pulled it out of the slot. Reinserted it and now we seem to be running normally again.
I will take eksters advice. The system ran normally for the first two years. Makes me wonder if I need to consider a new
SD card as well.
