Has anyone successfully installed a IP conference-type phone on the ipoffice? I have a customer with a 406v2 with several 5621's at a remote office, they would like to have a conference phone at that remote site.

I've looked at the polycom IP series but they appear to be sip endpoints.

any suggestions?

I havent seen any that work yet. I think some people may have gotten them to work but i have not.

Don't take this as a recomendation from me but it seems some people have got the Avaya ACM 4690 IP Conf to work.

It's not supported on IPO and an expensive paper weight if it doesn't!!!!!!

We use Polycom SoundStation IP 4000 units in our conference rooms via an Asterisk machine (along with any other SIP endpoints we need).

That Asterisk machine then talks to our IP Office via a H323 trunk.

It's a little bit convoluted but works fine. We'll probably move them over to the IP Office as soon as SIP endpoints are supported), but for now it works for us.

While the units don't support POE, one thing we do is put the control unit/power supply in the wiring closet where it's out of the way and backed by UPS and simply have an RJ45 port in the conference rooms where we plug in the main unit.

@jamie77, they do not work and are really not supported
I did an feature request and they told me they are busy with it but could not tell me if it became the 4690 or a different model

Konftel do a conference phone which connects to the headset jack of the 5621/10 series. You dial out using the 56 phone. works very well. allows private handset use if needed also.

Well instead of the Konftel, I'm trying a Clear One 150 Enterprise addon. It works on Avaya 4600, 2400, 9600 series phones so I'm under the assumption it will work on 5400 and 5600 series as well. They have a 30 day trial program, where they ship it out and you can try it for 30 days free and ship it back if you don't like it.
