We have 7 companies across the globe and we have Avaya SCN through VPN connectivity. We have users who are getting the message INVALID BUTTONS when they use different avaya phoneset model from one office to another office. The only thing we can do is to delete the EXT number and recreate it. That time they can logged on with their extension properly. Please help on how to rectify this issue without recreating their extension number.

In button programming each user must have at least one appearance button on Avaya sets.
Without that you get the "invalid button" message.

But by default when we create extension number, there are three programming buttons already created in the BUTTON PROGRAMMING tab.

If you assign buttons/settings using user rights then those user rights settings need to be in all the systems with the same name in each one, so when hot-desking it can get the user rights that is assigned to the user :)

Some phone types have fixed buttons for some features and if you program a button for the same feature if will come up as invalid
