Horrible Echo - VPN/IP Phones

Hi,
I know there was a fix for this someplace, where there is a horrible echo on the IP phone side (not the callers end) when using POTS. I tried ALL settings in Echo Cancellation on the trunks with no improvement. Any ideas? I am using G729
