Hi all, we have a system with multiple locations 1 to 10 and we are planning to add a new location - location 11.

All locations share the same dialplan analysis table, I read that I can create a dialplan table using the location parameter for the new office/site but I could not find many details on how it will work or the impact it will have.

The main reason to do this is that the default locations table has the dialed string "0" defined with length of "5" and as type "extension" (used in one of locations as extensions and those cannot be changed) and we need to allow users on the new location to dial "0" to reach the reception (as they currently do) therefore I thought of having a new dialplan analysis table for the location with the dialed string "0" set with a length of 1 and as type ATTD.

Note that all the other entries on the location table are not going to be changed.

Questions that I have:

Would the system allow having 0 as type extension on the main dialplan table and as type ATTD on the location dialplan table?
Would it affect any of the other sites?
Would I need to create dialplan tables for each location?
If all tables will have the same configuration for extensions (dialed digit, length, type) could I still dial extension to extension on different locations?

I assume that the only difference will be when dialing 0 from a phone on the new location from when dialing 0 from any of the other locations but I received different comments from the people I asked and not being able to test myself I am asking the community.

Thanks for your help

Richard

if you truly have individual locations set up you can do ars analysis per locations,,,,change ars ana location XX 0 and it will let you put all the qualifiers in you want.

He's talking about extension numbers (dial plan), not ARS.

Thanks J1121, I am checking the document and will try to put one of the ideas on it in place - having 0 with length 1 as attd and with other lengths as extension - but unfortunately it is using CM2 and the location dialplan table option was not available back then (not even on CM3) and this is present on CM5 therefore cannot confirm the multiple locations issue.

I will see if the re is any updated version around.

Thanks for your help and document hope I can convince the change approval board to test his on the live system (kind of difficult when we have many locations on different countries/continents and managed by different teams :) )
