Definity G3SI PBX - Multiple Extensions on one phone set

Hello,


Is it possible to assign multiple unique extensions on a single phone set?

Example:

Key 1 = 7001
Key 2 = 7002
Key 3 = 7003

Change the second and third button to "brdg-appr btn 1 ext:700X"

Then page 2 change 'bridge call alerting' to Y and 'auto select any idle appearance' to Y.

"per button ring control' would be an option...

Do the other extensions assigned to the phone have to be put into the PICKUP/HUNT GROUPS as well, or does the system simply look at the "MAIN" extension? Thanks.

Actually, I just tried assigning a UNIQUE extension to a phone using the "brdg-appr" definition, but the system won't let me assign the extension because the extension does not appear in the system already. These extensions are going to be UNIQUE (Not assigned to any other phone in the system). Thanks

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this scenario? Yes, each number would need to to be added to pick-up groups. No, you cannot receive a hunt-group or cover-answer group call on a bridged appearance so it doesn't matter about the hunt group form.

add sta 7001 as a 6408d+ and use x as the port. Then dup sta 7001 cou 2 start 7001. This should add 7002 and 7003 automatically. (Put x in the port fields).

Then change whichever extension you want to have 7001, 7002 and 7003 on, and place each brdg-appr on it. Then follow phoneguy55's steps.

It should work.

Is your goal to not have to use the RTU's?

Or maybe you can use the incoming call-handling treatment form. Depends on which version of switch you're running. Below CM3.0 I believe, it was on the trunk group form, with 3.0 and above it is it's own form

You can then change the incoming called number and delete 4 digits and replace it with the phone you want the calls to ring on.

Not sure if that costs an RTU or not...
