WE look forward to have your valued feedback on the following:-

We are trying to connect dialogic IVR behind our Definity. We are using D600JCT boards. WE have already set up E1 link between the two. We defined the stations in the definity also as VRUFD?

Question1 - When we dial this station, there is no activity on the IVR channel though we get a ring back tone. Can some one suggest what could be the problem? I am not sure here whether it should be DS1FD or VRU or VRUFD.

Question 2- We are not also sure as what settings we need to do on the Dialogic D600JCT board in DCM[Dialogic Communication Manager]? what are the ISDN parameters we need to change for the board in DCM?

Presently its main settings are configured as

Telephony
ScBus Speed - 4
PCM encoding - A law

Interface
ISDN protocol - CTR4

MISC
firmware file - default
fiemware file2 - default
parameterfile
parameterfile2
TFS file support - No

Looking for your valued feedback pls.

vsunh,

afaik you couldn't use isdn between the definity and ivr if you want to see your ivr as a bunch of extensions. i did some research on this topic not while ago and all that i found is that avaya recommends setting up ds1 for cas using loop-start trunks and extension types should be ds1fd. that really works. this way, you can pass your ivr up to two parameters using converse-on vector step, values are passed with dtmf tones like that: "digits1#digits2#". i see no reason not to use this approach with dialogic ivr as well.

p.s. you can always extract some additional information from definity via cti link.

DS-1 cards with stations assigned to each channel. For the converse-on step to work you would also have to assign auto login agent to each of the stations. I can send additional setup information if needed.

Sorry, left out some info.

Dwalin is correct. I have several IVR setup behind my PBX, and they are all setup with DS-1 cards with stations assigned to each channel. For the converse-on step to work you would also have to assign auto login agent to each of the stations. I can send additional setup information if needed.

We do not know, whats the issue, we are not still able to integrate the dialogic with definity.

We add the Dialogic channels as DS1FD & the DS1 board configuration in Definity are as follows:-

Protocol - hdb3
network - pbx
Other settings e.g on definity
compading - a law
idle code - 01010100
CRC - no

When we try to see the status of the dialogic station by definity command "status station xxxx", it always shows busy "inservice/off hook" & when we try to call the station, the call does not land oln the channel & the channel does not show any activity.

We are using envox 6 to view the dialogic channels in the envox consol..

Can you suggest what could be the possible issue here?

regards

Here is how I have my DS-1 Cards configured.
TN464F

Interface Comp: mulaw
Idle Code: 11111111
Slip Detect.: n
Line Codeing : ami-basic or (ami-zcs)

Hope this helps.
