So I'm starting to get into VM Pro with a Telagility install. Two things I'm wondering about. I always create a shortcode of *22 on all my systems that is VM Collect and "?". With VM pro, the customer is pressing *22, ext150, PW1234 and it's giving them invalid entry. Mailbox 150 is the store hunt group and General VM box and they are trying to get in to record a custom greeting.

#2 is actually happening on most of my recent systems. When pressing the mailbox button on phones to get to visual vm, some phones are asking for a PW. Some phones get right in. I set all phones in the company to have the same PW, even phones with VM disabled. What am I missing here?

Do you have Vxxx on each user for Source Number? 1234 shouldn't be an acceptable password on R10

1234 isnt the actual PW, I just used it in this example :)

Each user has Vxxx xxx=their extension. I also have H150 for each user 150 being their GenVM HG.

The H should be followed by the name of the group (case sensitive) and not the number.

Then you have to worry about spacing, spelling, case sensitivity, etc. Numbers are just easier and work the same. I've been using H### for years. I don't think that's relevant to this issue.

I guess an easier question to answer... How do you VM Pro veterans have your clients record their group mailbox greetings?

So I guess I could use *91 VM Collect and "#"150? Instead of "?

So the VM collect issue was a wrong password and the V### was copied when I created some users so they didn't have the proper V###. Thanks guys.
