I am fairly green on avaya and phone systems someone else configured and setup the system. We have an avaya ip office 500 v2 on version 9.0.3.0 that we are wanting to connect to the valcom paging system. The valcom installers weren't sure on how to do this on avaya, we have connected one of the avaya analog ports to the valcom system. I need to figure out the programming aspect in the avaya system and haven't really been able to find any clear instructions.
On the avaya I have connected analog port 3 to the valcom. Looking for advise on how to get it so that the users can dial a short code and it call the valcom then they put in the extension for the page groups.
Current analog extensions, I tried to create a new extension but could not assign it to the module or port like these two are.

I read somewhere about creating a new group but couldn't figure that out either, current groups. the page group just calls all the avaya phones on the system.

I think a lot of the info has been covered so far but this is a guide that helped when I was first learning IPO

Yes, I understand that the Valcom is actually a K-12 Intercom system, and that it uses a CO port to interface to a pbx. Earlier in the thread there are several posts recommending that OP get an ATM-4 and interface it that way. Just pointing out the difference and limitations in using a CO port vs. an analogue station port programmed as a page port. VOX relay to provide the contact closure is also going to be needed if using the page port.

Hello, thanks for all the guidance so far. I installed the daughter card and now have the trunk ports available. Still haven't been able to get it to work so I am sure I am missing something. The code on the valcom system for all call is #113 so when a connection is made to the system we would dial #113 to call all rooms. We currently are able to do this with the engenius wireless phones connected to it.
I have the trunk port configured as follows.
I assigned a number of 2711 I assume that is the number that we would dial or a shortcode would dial to access this ?
I added an incoming and outgoing line ID of 9 I found that the default of 0 was interfering with our main ARS line out.
does line appearance ID need to be configured?

Short code setup for the telephone number I assume this would dial that trunk? or should the telephone number just be the #113 code the system is looking for? I have tried several option on the telephone number for the shortcode such as #113 , 2711 #113 when we dial the shortcode it is just a busy type signal.

Is a group needed for this as well or no?

The telephone number field does nothing, it's just for note keeping.
Give it a line appearance ID, let's say 701 as long as that doesn't conflict with anything else on the system.
Then go to a phone (user in manager) that you want to test it on and assign it to an available button (appearance > line appearance)
Then pick up the phone, hit that button, dial your # code and that should work.

Your short code could work also, just take the telephone number field out. 2711 isn't anything.

I have the short code working! but can not get it to work by just dialing the ext or number I made on the trunk line appearance id. I made the line appearance id 2711 I assume I may need to dial some kind of dial out code? to dial out we press 9 then the number we want to call. If I just dial 2711 it just a fast beep cannot dial the entire 2711.

That is because the 2711 isn't a number that can be dialed. You need a shortcode to access any analog line. Since the *80 'dialing' the Valcom 'all call' code works (I assume that is what you got working) another shortcode... say *81 with no digits to dial should give you dial tone (after about 3 seconds) that will allow you to dial anything else the Valcom is capable of doing. Maybe you could be a little clearer as to what your next 'end goal' is to get more help.

Thanks for all the assistance with getting this working!!!!!!
