We are upgrading from CMS v11 to v13. Someone in their infinite wisdom decided not to buy the "insurance" with our BP for custom reports. If they don't migrate over, our only method of "recovery" is to reinstall the old hard drives and revert back to the old version.

Is there anyway to export a custom report before we do the upgrade and reimport it?

Also, has anyone had any other challanges with a CMS upgrade they would care to share?

Hi Stinny

Yes you can you export your reports but when you import them back into CMS they go into the designer section.

I did it when we wanted to bring another outsource partner into to use the same reports as ours.

Firstly you need to do some prep work.
Will need to check each report for any custom calculations and copy and paste those to a word document so you have them ready to input as they need to be in before you load the reports back on.

Next you need to go into CMS with a full admin rights login and select commands\reports\select the report and click on edit you can then save the report out as a file where you can store safely offline and reload when required.

All custom reports are stored in the /cms/db/gem directory - you could copy these I guess.

Are there any special reports, for example to a WFM (totalview/bluepumpkin) ?
