Anyone know how to clear the ARP cache on the IP office?

I am having problems with IP handsets not connecting to the system after replacing a netgear FS728TP POE switch with a bigger FS752TP POE switch, however upon replugging IP phones back into it, they are not all registering with the phone system, only a handful are.

Connecting a brand new handset in place of an old one works correctly, but most of the existing handsets refuse to re-register or even pick up an IP address. I assume it has something to do with the fact the phone is still looking to go via the old switch (as if I plug it in, it works as before), but why is this, and what can I do to get it to connect? Different switch ports make no difference.

How many phones and which type of phones?
Netgear switches can do odd things when you connect too many devices which pull POE.
I have had issues with IPDect R4 base stations.
I could not connect more than 10 base stations otherwise i had similar problems.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

They are mostly 1603 handsets, with a few 1608 handsets. About 40 or so combined in total.

I don't believe it is a POE issue as the phones themselves boot up, but they just can't get any kind of IP connection, either static or DHCP.

I think the closest to clearing the ARP table is to enable development tracing, and assuming you are using the IPO as a DHCP server for IP phones, you can force or free up the IP address handed out to phones.

Hi, how would I got about doing this from Monitor?

How does enabling development tracing help? OR what do I do afterwards to clear old IP addresses out of the system?

Thanks

You can go to Status - Dhcp Data and there is a button that says "Free Address"
