Cannot upload system files to SD card getting error... 1

Updated IP Office to R8 and when it tried to upload the system files it throws the following error:


HTTP request failed: 405 Method Not Allowed

Has anyone seen this error??

I'm connected to the IP Office via Manager and doing the following:

File, Advanced, Memory Card (Embedded File Management)and after I get connected I go to File, Upload System Files

Then I get the error. Behind the error window there is a file copy window and it's trying to copy the files to the SD card and errors out when coping the first file.

put the ip address of your pc in te fileserver ip address

The file writer ip address is set to the ip address of the pc i'm using to upload the files. It's the same pc where Manager is installed.

i think you are connected wirelessly and on a different IP range, try to connect using your LAN with same IP range

We have a dedicated server running VMPro and Manager, that's on the same subnet as the IP Office.

I'm connected to that server when trying to upload the system file to the SD card.

Isn't it system files are read only files?

if the system are read only then i'm really confused because that means the files would never get updated even after the upgrade to R8. Is there a way to remove read only so that the files can be updated?

The system upgrade will do that for you.

File->Advance->Upgrade

System upgrade throws the same error when it gets to the point where it copies the files to the SD card.

To be sure what is happening open monitor before that and go to filters -> trace options.
Then go to the tab "services" and select the option "memory card commands"
Then open system status and stop and start the card from there.

Post the trace here when you try to upload a files.

I don't think that the card is locked. Before upgrading to R8 I upgraded 6 to the latest version of 6 and I did not have any problems.

The SD card could be locked which is why you are getting a copy failure on the sub folders. Put the SD card in a PC and try copying the files manually. You can find a FAQ here as well as other documents online about building your own SD card rather than using the Manager app. I like to copy the files myself as it saves a lot of time. 20 minutes versus 2-3 hours.

Your SD card is corrupted.
Pull it from the system and copy it to your pc.
Then recreate it with manager and place back the config.cfg file.

Is there a way to search the FAQ's on this site so that I can find the correct steps to recreating the SD card?

Just put it in a card reader on a PC with the right manager on it.
Then from there you can format and recreate (format only by manager, not by Windows!!!!!)
