I have a 406v2 on 3.2.59 and a Soft Phone user on 3.2.35 Phone Manager Softphone. When they call listen (by dialing *55*N#) they can monitor the caller for approx 30 seconds before they can't hear the call anymore (but it still shows connected).

Regular calls to the softphone are fine. I've tried changing the codec, I've uninstalled the Micosoft QOS packet scheduler, but it still does the same thing. The listening ends after 30 seconds. Any ideas? Anyone run into this or have thoughts?

Are you usin direct media path on the softphone ext?

Try turning that off.

Well I have direct media unchecked, so that it always uses a vcm resource, and they are call listening to digital 5420 phones. Doesn't matter which one they call listen to, after 30 seconds the soft phone goes silent, but still shows connected. If they hit F5 from the softphone, it will record the call from the now silent softphone. The recording is intact and works fine. It records the entire conversation.
