Reset the password

1: Connect to the Contact Recorder Server

Open PuTTY and connect to the IP Office Server Edition (or Application Server), logging in with the following credentials:
Username: witness
Password: eQuality

2: Connect to the Contact Recorder Database
Log into the postgres database by entering the following command:
psql -U eware -h localhost
You will then be prompted for the password which is as follows:Password

2: Connect to the Contact Recorder Database
Log into the postgres database by entering the following command:
psql -U eware -h localhost
You will then be prompted for the password which is as follows:
eware

3: Search for the Administrator Account
Navigate to table containing users by entering the following command:
select * from users;
You should see that there is a user called Administrator with an encrypted password.

4: Delete the Administrator Account
Next we need to delete the user “Administrator” by doing the following commands:
delete from users where userid = 1;
NOTE: If this procedure has been carried out before, the Administrator user might be a different userid, so make sure you use the same ID that is displayed against the Administrator user when viewing the search results in Step 3.

5: Check the Administrator Account is Deleted

Navigate to table containing users again to check the Administrator user has been deleted, by entering the following command:
select * from users;

6: Logout of Contact Recorder Database
Log out of the database by entering the following command:
\q
Once logged out of the database, log out of putty by typing the following:exit

This whole process should look something similar to the image below:

7: Restart Contact Recorder Service
Open a Web Browser, and go to the IP Office Server Edition/Application Server Web Control page ( of IPOSE/AS>:7071).
Log in as an Administrator and stop the Contact Recorder service.
Once stopped, start the Contact Recorder service again.

Conclusion

When you next connect to Contact Recorder type in the Administrator username, leave the password box empty and click OK. This will then prompt you to create a new password.

If you are still encountering problems, it will require a complete uninstall/reinstall to reset the password. Alternatively, if you have an IPOSS contract, Avaya may be able to assist.

According Avaya doc SOLN252036

Hi thanks for this information firstly.

But it's about the contact recorder into the IPO SE, not the AWFOS 5.2 (Avaya Workforce Select 5.2)

Intrigrant is talking about the SE version but i think it is the same.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

It's not the same.
I installed into the windows 2012 server with SQL 2014 Standard and the AWFOS 5.2
there's no link yet between the AWFOS and the IPO SE.
First i must to configure via the sysadmin but i don't know the password (they changed it because with the AWFOS 5.0 the password is awfos1@3 and this one not work with the AWFOS 5.2 (well it seems)).
I opened already a SR to Avaya, i hope i could have an answer very soon. But if somebody installed already this release AWFOS 5.2 (or if you know somebody who installed maybe he could help me too), it's really a great help for me to forward into the next step.

I wonder if it is supported in any way.
I do not know the name AWFOS at all but i think it is just the contact recorder or even contact store.
Why not use the Linux appserver where it is installed by default?

Edit, it isn't apparently.
I never even seen it so i cannot help you with this.

Linux is not supported yet.
AWFOS is supported for all windows server (until 2016) and for SQL 2014/2016
AWFOS 5.2 (Avaya Workforce Select) is for recording, call scoring, supervisor training etc. more powerful than a call recorder installed into the IPO SE (light ACR than the ACR that you installed for Avaya Aura).
AWFOS is a ligth "application" of WFO

Hi Allan,
Did you find the password for AWFOS 5.2 admin user?
I'm on the same issue.

It was my installation mistake, after reinstallation default password works fine (awfos1@3)

The user and password are right:
admin
awfos1@3

but to it works the license needs are available in the webLM.
