Greetings,

We have a customer using ContactStore since R8.1 (recently upgrade VM Pro and IPO to R10.0) and ContactStore is loaded on the same server as Voicemail Pro. The customer is a heavy Xima user/customer and they upgraded to Xima Recording Library along with real-time agents, etc. They have Xima VRTX recording devices on the (2) PRIs, but Xima told them they can also configure voicemail pro ports for internal recording as well as a backup for external recording if the VRTX devices were to have any issues.

The problem: They still need to have ContactStore running to access recordings from the past 3-4 years (all new recordings will be on Xima). Is there a way in ContactStore to change the VRL location, IP, etc, so it will not pull any new recordings from Voicemail Pro BUT the ContactStore service can continue to run on the server so they can search the old recordings that are stored in ContactStore?

Any insight or help is appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, just set the Contact Recorder applications 'Handover Folder' setting to something else other than the /opt/vmpro/VRL folder.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks sizbut. Looking through the installation manual and the "Server Settings->Server" on the web interface. On the web UI I only see an option for the "Call Storage Path." Is the Handover Folder setting somewhere in the registry or am I just overlooking something. I apologize as I am not familiar with Contact Store at all. Much appreciated and thanks again!

When looking at the install guide for the more recent "Contact Recorder" I see there is an option for Handover Folder in the "General Setup." My issue is that I do not see this on the "Contact Store" (IP Office ContactStore csipo-7_8sp1_16) version the customer is running. I also cannot find the Reg Key mentioned in the Contact Store 7.8 install guide "as defined by the Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE\Network Alchemy\Voicemail\Directories\VRLDir" if I go into the RegEdit on the server.

Not sure where to go or what i am missing....

I think you're both right and wrong. My head was thinking Linux Contact Recorder and not the Windows ContactStore you have. That said it means you should have the reg key.
