hey guys,

i have a unit that looks like a christmas tree and not responding to anything. if i hook up the unit to the DTE port i get this in hyperterminal....

Programming FPGA ...
FPGA Version 0xFC
CPLD Revs: 0xC1 0xD4
CardID: 0x3A Modules: 0xEF
Broadcom Switch Mode was 0xF5 now 0xF6
EthChipRevId: 0x37 EthPhyId: 0x004062B3
P12 Loader 2.4
CPU Revision 0x0900

not sure what the ip address was set to before this happened. i was just wondering if this is fixable or do i just give up on this unit???

i have tried to default this unit using the DTE port, but the unit wont respond to anything.

any suggestions would be great!

thanks!!

It is looking for its bin files. Make sure you have a bootp entry with the MAC and IP of the unit and make sure your PC is in the 192.168.42.x network. it should pull the bin file and be fine.

nothing happens????

is there anything else i could do?

make sure your PC is on the 192.168.42.c network. use 42.1 as your gateway. open manager and view the TFTP log. reboot the IPO and you should see it try to connect with its MAC. then make your bootp.

Kwing is right.
Forget the escape part, it is already out of software and looking for it.
Be sure that you have a bootp entry with the mac address and the right ipaddress and binfile.
Also be sure you have manager open so you have a working tftp server.
