Need VPN client 9.0 for Vista

Does anyone have this? I have a client that runs a NS-208, and they upgraded to Vista, and hence killed off my remote access to manage their firewall (very long story, trust me.) If anyone has it and doesn't mind sharing, drop me a line at webnetwiz AT hotmail.com. I can share some stuff I have...

Configure a Site-to-Site VPN with Backup route

Why not build GRE tunnels to pass routing information via OSPF, and tunnel IPSec traffic inside the GRE tunnel? I'm sure Cisco has an example of how to build that. This gives you a lot of flexibility and resilience.

    Cisco 3745 with NM-16ESW

Create L3 vlan interfaces by issuing interface vlan # command. You will need to create the VLANs at L2 first though.

Cisco 2811 with 2 networks and 2 ADSL

That really depends on what your requirements are, you can also do this with static routes, but again, everything depends on requirements, and design stems from that.

    Unable to activate WIC-4ESW

The minimum required version for WIC-4ESW is 12.3(2)XC according to this doc: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps221/products_data_sheet09186a00801c749d.html So yes, that is the problem, you need to upgrade your IOS to a later version.

how do you configure T3 in a 2851 router

Yea, it's a little tricky with the new 2800 series and non-ATM DS3 modules. The command you need to issue on the router is: router(config)#card type <t3/e3> <slot#> You'll need to pick whether the circuit is a T3(US) or E3(Europe), and then specify what slot it's in. After you issue the...

    Port forwarding issue

I'm having a funky issue with port forwarding on pix running 7.0.2.4 code. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: outside host --> pix outside IP on port 2210 --> inside host on port 22. The pix also has port 22/ssh open in order to be ale to manage remotely. There are other port forwarding...

    Cisco 3600 Series Router Setup

I agree with JOAMON about bridging, that is definitely the cheapest way to utilize this router, not sure if the code that runs on it now supports irb, it should, cause bridging has been around for a long time now, but with a DSL wic you can actually poll the line and get line readings and stats...

    Cisco 3600 Series Router Setup

This router can terminate your DSL line with a WIC-ADSL module. This module can be purchased on eBay. You will also need to upgrade the IOS running on the 3640 to at least 12.3 code with ADSL feature set. Other than that, your router seems to be maxed out on RAM, and would be a great router...

    2620 and a WIC-1ENET card 12.3(13a)

WIC-1ENET is designed only for 1700 series routers, and is not compatible with any other router. for your 2600, you'll need either a nm-4e, or nm-1fe-tx (not sure if nm-1fe-tx is supported, check Cisco's site.)

Are you looking to put the NAM into a modular router platform, or on the switches?

Cisco NAM vs. regular NetFlow monitoring?

NAMs are not only for Cisco 6500s! Do a search on part number NM-NAM, and you'll see that you can put a NAM into almost any router that takes them.

PIX 515, smart enough for 255.255.252.00 subnet

I think what dopehead was trying to say is that if you changed from a /24 to a /22, that's fine as long as you re-ip your pix interface as well to reflect the /22 subnet mask. So say if you had 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0, now you'd re-configure the interface for 192.168.0.1 255.255.252.0

    Router recommendation

If you're looking for a Cisco solution, I'd recommend the 1841. It can handle way more than 50 users, and is less than standard 19" rack size.
