Unable to activate WIC-4ESW

I've got a problem.

I've a Cisco router 1760 and I bought an Ethernet card (WIC-4ESW). After installing te interface my router is not able to see the interface card.
I've tested the slots en these are allright.
I've got two Ethernet cards en both are not working.

Do I need to do anything more to let the cards work?

What version of code are u running on your 1760?

You probably have the wrong code. You'll need to go to CCO and see what code-set you'll need for that to run.

De version of the code (software?) is 12.2 (4r) XL.
Do you think that this is the problem?

The minimum required version for WIC-4ESW is 12.3(2)XC according to this doc:

So yes, that is the problem, you need to upgrade your IOS to a later version.
